Mumbai:
Sony Entertainment Television’s longest ever running
television series CID will be served to the Bengali audiences,
but with a different flavour.
The
show, titled ‘CID Kolkata Bureau’, will air on Sony
Entertainment Network’s Bangla Entertainment Channel
Sony Aath.
According
to the channel, this will be first ever fiction show which
will have a regional franchise.
The
show will have its own batch of officers and a dash of local
flavour with stories influenced by the local culture of Bengal.
Taking inspiration from CID that is running on Set, the new
series will carve its own identity and be relevant to the
people of West Bengal.
‘CID
Kolkata Bureau’ will be produced by Fireworks Productions,
the producers of CID.
The
channel has not yet decided when the show will go on air.
