MUMBAI:
Jewellery makes a comeback on lifestyle channel TLC with the
new season of the local show 'Oh My Gold!.
The
show will have a new host in former Miss India Nikita Anand.
A guide to Indian jewellery, the four-part series airs every
Monday at 9 pm from today 22 October.
The
new season will showcase the diversity and wealth of Indian
jewellery's cultural heritage and our age-old love affair
with personal ornamentation. There are also wonderful instances
of how gold and jewels have transcended materialism and become
an integral part of spiritual and religious custom, sanctified
over the centuries. Along with the old and glorious, the spotlight
is on what's new and exciting in the world of jewellery -
contemporary trends in gold, diamonds, pearls and gems.
The
second season explores the wealth of jewellery in the City
of Joy - Kolkata, the Golden Paradise - Chennai, the city
of Gods and gold - Thiruvananthapuram and Pune, the land of
the Marathas.
Discovery
Networks Asia-Pacific senior VP, GM South Asia Rahul Johri

its highly successful series Oh My Gold!. We are equally enthused
to present another refreshing new face on Indian television
- Nitika Anand. We are confident that the second season of
this exquisite series would be just as successful and will
attract wide attention in India and around the world."
