MUMBAI: In order to celebrate Dusshera, English movie channel Movies Now will have an initiative ‘Victory Over Evil’ on 24 October from noon.
The initiative starts with ‘The A-Team’ which is about team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going "rogue," they utilise their unique talents to try and clear their names and find the true culprit.
Next is ‘Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief’, the story of a teenager who discovers he's the descendant of a Greek god, a demi-god who’s half mortal, half immortal and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods.
Based on the fantasy series by Rick Riordan, the movie artfully turns a tale of Greek gods interacting with humans into a fast-paced adventure saga. The movie imparts key information integrally. The result is wholesome and light-hearted fun inspiring young audiences to explore classic Greek myths.
Then ‘Predators’, which goes back to the Predator universe, and has Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who leads a group of elite warriors who come to realise they’ve been brought together on an alien planet as prey.
When the predators become the prey, fearless mercenary Royce (Adrien Brody) prepares for the fight of his life. The movie has action, adventure, sci-fi, and thriller, all packed in one.
Martial Arts fans can check out ‘Ip Man 2’ - a semi-biographical film on the life of Ip Man, who is living under the iron fist of the British colonial rule. In the movie, Ip Man attempts to propagate his discipline of Wing Chun, but faces rivalry from other practitioners.
The last film is ‘Spider-Man 3’.
