MUMBAI:
PTC Punjabi is back with its fifth
annual PTC Punjabi Music
Awards
to be held on 24 March, 6 pm onwards
at Jalandhar.
The
awards will be telecast live on PTC
Punjabi in India. In US and Canada,
it will be aired on same day at 8.30
pm EST.
PTC
Network COO Rajiee M Shinde said,
"The star studded award ceremony
will feature
a special performance by the immortal
Gurdas Mann. Esteemed singers who
will be performing include Jazzy B,
Gippy Grewal, Rabbi Shergill, Kulwinder
Johal and Bollywood starlet Sameera
Reddy."
Divya
Dutta, Master Saleem and Sonu Sood
are hosting the ceremony this year,
while young singers like Jassi Gill,
Charan, Paramjeet Kaur, Vinod, Garry
Sandhu, Sukhdeep Grewal, Mani Mann,
Meer and Manpreet Kaur will be performing
as part of Youngsters Brigade.
“Music
forms an essential part of the viewership
appetite of Punjabis.
Last
year, Music Awards reached 5.7 million
individuals in India and many more
abroad. On ground, the turnout is
expected to be upward of 20,000 going
by our experience of previous years,"
said PTC Network president Rabindra
Narayan.
PTC
Punjabi Music Awards is the flagship
property of PTC Punjabi.Each
year nominations are finalised and
voting received from over 1000 members
of the music industry.
