MUMBAI: IEC in Sports, a subsidiary of Lagardère Unlimited,
has been mandated with the distribution of worldwide media
rights for the Swiss Football League.
The
deal widens IECs ambit which currently serves as the
official host broadcaster for the top-tier of Swiss soccer
since 2009.
As
part of the deal, IEC will deliver a total of 180 matches
per season across multiple media platforms starting 2012-2013
season with focus being taking the league to non-traditional
markets.
The new long term deal will focus on exploiting all technologies
to expand the Leagues scope beyond traditional TV exposure.

Next
season of SFL kicks off in the weekend of 14-15 July, with
IEC producing all matches in HD.
