MUMBAI: Conax, which provides solutions for protecting multi-device digital content, announced its contract with Grupo TV Cable in Ecuador.

Together with partner Evolution Digital LLC which provides competitive STBs, Conax has deployed a highly cost effective and flexible content security solution for enabling Grupo TV Cable with smooth digital migration and additional services such as pre-paid voucher and pay-per-view.

The security provider’s aim is to help Latin American pay-TV operators like Grupo TV Cable position their offerings for the future with proven DVB open standards solutions through the option to choose from a wide selection of proven, highly secure, reliable and economical client devices including best-of-breed components for a total platform.

The Conax / Evolution partnership has provided the cable operator with an open, ready-made and proven platform solution, with regional support. The proven solution will help Grupo TV Cable digitize new cities and networks more cost effectively and introduce hybrid STB solutions, as well as provide flexibility to respond to market changes and the scalability to grow and add new markets.

Knowing that the Conax /Evolution solution has been very successful and running smoothly at other operations, such as Cablemas in Mexico, was also a key determining factor in our selection.”
