Asianet to start airing Malayalam KBC from 9 April

BANGALORE: Asianet will start airing the Malayalam version of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati?’ (KBC) - ‘Ningalkkum Aakaam Kodeeswaran’ (NAK), starting 9 April.

Like the Tamil version on Vijay TV and the Kannada version on Suvrana TV, NAK will run over 90 minutes between 8 and 9.30 pm Monday to Friday.

 
 

The southern versions of the KBC are the biggest shows till date in the respective languages in terms of prize money, participation, the mass media communication spends, with the hosts being some of the biggest names in the media and entertainment world in their respective states.

The Tamil version of KBC - Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, (NVOK) went on air on 27 February. The Kannada version - Kannadada Kotyadhipati (KK) started from 12 March. NVOK has Tamil actor Suriya as the host, while KK has Puneet Rajkumar as the show’s host.

 
 
 
 
NAK is anchored by popular Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi. This quiz show will give any talented person an opportunity to win up to Rs 1o million, as opposed to the Rs 50 million that the last season of the Hindi KBC offered.

The Confident Group, which is one of the associate sponsors of KK, is the title sponsor for NAK. The show is powered by Ujala and has Josco, Bheema, Francis Alukkas, Hairomax and Federal Bank as associate sponsors.
