| MUMBAI:
The Kerala-based Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Company is in plans to launch
a 24-hours news and current affairs channel in the state. The
channel, Mathrubhumi News, will go on air in three months, said a source from
the company, "We will be launching a 24-hour Malayalam news channel in about
3 months."
The
channel will be based in Thiruvananthapuram. There
are currently four news channels in Kerala namely Indiavision News, Asianet News,
People (Kairali) and Malayala Manorama channels.
Mathrubhumi
has been managing content for the last 87 years and as a brand, it has got a strong
attachment with the people of the state. |
