MUMBAI:
Sun TV Network has announced the launch of its FM radio station
in Gangtok (Sikkim) under the Red FM brand through its subsidiary,
South Asia FM.
Launched
on 6 March, the FM station can be tuned at 93.5 MHz frequency
in Gangtok. The programmes will cater to audiences of all
age groups.
With
this launch, the total operational FM stations under Red FM
brand are 44. These are in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli,
Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar,
Tirupati, Madurai, Tuticorin, Lucknow, Bhopal, Pondicherry,
Kozhikode (Calicut), Indore, Vijayawada, Varanasi, Tiruchy,
Rajahmundry, Kanpur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Mangalore,
Kannur, Allahabad, Jabalpur, Mysore, Guwahati, Jamshedpur,
Nashik, Vadodara, Rajkot, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad, Warangal,
Nagpur, Kochi, Gulbarga, Asansol, Shillong, Pune and Siliguri.
Recently,
Sun TV had brought its FM radio stations outside Tamil Nadu
and Pondicherry under the Red FM umbrella brand. The move
included re-branding of 38 FM stations including 23 stations
of South Asia FM, 14 stations of Kal Radio, and one station
of Udaya FM.
