Star Plus to create consumer connect with 'Pratigya-human chain' initiative

NEW DELHI: In an event aimed at marking the fight for women’s empowerment coinciding with the International Women’s Day, the stars of the series Mann ki Awaz – Pratigya on Star Plus are to form a human chain to bring to the fore injustice to women in various walks of life.

The Delhi event, to be led by Pooja Gor - enacting the title role in the series, is taking place after similar events in Mumbai, Lucknow and Kanpur.

Joining Pratigya in the effort will be prominent women from Delhi who will highlight and support Pratigya’s cause at the human chain at the Jesus and Mary College in South Delhi on 8 March.

Commenting on the initiative, Star Plus EVP- marketing Anupam Vasudev said, “Through the Pratigya - human chain, we want to build a further connect with every woman who has gone through similar experiences and wants to take a pledge to change the situation.”
