ITV sells Weird Creatures globally

MUMBAI: ITV Studios Global Entertainment has done distribution deals for the first two seasons of Icon Films' Weird Creatures with Nick Baker.

The show will be seen in over 40 territories worldwide.

The show follows presenter and naturalist Nick Baker as he travels to some of the most remote and inhospitable corners of the earth, searching for strange and intriguing creatures.

The first season has been taken by Pro Plus (Slovenia), Mediacorp (Singapore), Slovenska Produkcna (Slovakia), Next Step (Thailand) and Asia Television (Hong Kong).

Koch Media (Germany) and Source Investments (Netherlands) have acquired the home entertainment rights for the series.

For both seasons Television New Zealand, Yleisradio Oy (Finland) Smithsonian Networks and Eidiseis Dot Com (Greece) have acquired the rights. Network Ten (Australia) has picked up series two. The third season of the show will kick off on Animal Planet in the UK from 11 February.
