Colors to launch Khatron ke Khiladi 3 on 6 September

MUMBAI: Colors is set to launch the third season of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi on 6 September.

In its new avatar, the third season of the dare devil stunt based reality show will be aired Monday-Thursday at 9 pm.

The channel is making some changes in its primetime programming. Two of its shows – Bairi Piya (8.30 pm) produced by Balaji Telefilms and Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam (9 pm) produced by Creative Eye - will go off air, while its 9.30 pm show Laagi Tujhse lagan will be shifted to 8.30 pm.

Says Colors programming head Ashwini Yardi, “The stories of Bairi Piya and Yeh Pyaar… have come to an end. So we have decided to shift Laagi Tujhse… to 8.30 pm and get Khataron Ke Khiladi X3 at that spot.”

Colors has added two associate sponsors: Ferrero Rocher – Tic Tac and Mahindra and Mahindra – Scorpio. Indiantelevision.com had earlier reported that L’Oreal – Garnier Men Deo will be the presenting sponsor of the show and Vodafone, Sony – Bravia and Mircomax Mobile have come on board as associate sponsors.

Colors is going to promote the show heavily. It has envisioned a campaign of promotional films starring host Priyanka Chopra.

Executed by Orchard Advertising in association with Morse Code Films, the promotional films will set the tone for the unpredictable nature of the third season of the shows. In the three promos, Chopra is being paired with a vicious snake, a cruel eyed alligator and three raging bulls respectively.

Adds Yardi, “The Khatron ke Khiladi films are completely in sync with the fear and danger levels which will be seen in this season of the show- thrice as adventurous, thrice as dangerous and, of course, three times the excitement. Just when viewers were expecting something predictable, we raised the bar and have brought in a stunning host accompanied by 13 hot men who will be battling out dangerous stunts and a picturesque Brazil will make for a perfect combination.”
