RR Shah out from Prasar Bharati too?

One day after being shifted out of the information and broadcasting (I&B) ministry where he held the rank of additional special secretary, acting CEO of Prasar Bharti RR Shah is believed to have all but lost that post too.

An official announcement on Tuesday that Anil Baijal has been appointed as additional secretary in the I&B ministry where he would also hold additional charge of the post of executive member, Prasar Bharati Board, for a period of six months, appears to clearly point in that direction.

The announcement came as part of six senior-level government appointments. According to an informed source, Baijal is likely to take charge as Prasar Bharati chief as early as Wednesday.

It is rumoured that the government is likely to proceed with investigations against Shah. Alas, this appears to often be the fate of senior executives in Prasar Bharati. Or more precisely good old DD.
