SA likely to only fully migrate to digital broadcasting by 2013 – Icasa

The dual illumination of digital and analogue television signals would most likely not end by November 2011, as previously expected, but perhaps only by 2013, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) said on Friday.

Icasa chairperson Paris Mashile told journalists at a briefing in Johannesburg that the November 2011 deadline might not be realised, owing to some technical challenges.
