Bangladesh: 2 more TV channels before polls

Ruling alliance men are going to launch two more private satellite television channels in a few months just before the handover of power in October this year.The two upcoming TV channels -- Satellite National Television (SNTV) and Islami Television (I TV) -- have already received government approval.

Salahuddin Ahmed and Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu, BNP lawmakers elected from Demra and Lalbagh constituencies, are jointly launching SNTV.Major (Retd) Sayeed Eskandar, BNP lawmaker from Feni-1 constituency who is also younger brother of Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has been learnt to be launching the other channel, I TV.
