  • Zee Cinema aligns with ICE for 5th chapter of digital short film fest

    MUMBAI: Zee Cinema has partnered with a Pune-based non-profit organization International Cultural Exchange (ICE) to present the 5th chapter of the ICE Digital Short Film Festival.

    The festival is designed to help some of the finest short films made by talented and budding filmmakers in India find an audience. Zee Cinema will select three outstanding films from amongst the thirty short films screened at the festival and showcase them on the channel in a dedicated slot in the coming months. Additionally, the films will also be played on Zee Premier.

    The festival, spanning over three days from 20 May, will be held at S. M. Joshi Foundation, Pune between 6 and 9 pm everyday will have no entry fee.

    Said Zee Cinema Business Mohan Gopinath, " ICE, that has in library short films ranging from one to twenty minutes, has been conducting this award for the last four years. This year we decided to team with them since we wanted to unearth talented filmmakers from across the country and give them a chance to showcase their finest work on our network.

    "When the festival is underway, we will select a few good films that will be aired on our channel in the coming months."

    The short films, that will be screened at the festival, will touch upon a wide array of subjects ranging from table manners, to Mumbai locals, to abortion, to the insecurities faced by the father of a beautiful 16-year old, to the current craze of the Farmville application on Facebook.
