Langoor enters India, to set up R&D centre in Bangalore

MUMBAI: Australia-based Langoor, a web products and services company, is setting up base in India.

Founded by Ruchir Punjabi, an Indian settled in Australia, Langoor is planning to invest $225,000 and has launched a research and development (R&D) centre in Bangalore.

The company said that it plans to ramp up the workforce at the Bangalore centre to 20 employees by end of 2011.
The company will launch in India, a self-service platform for creating websites that is also a one stop shop for domains, e-mail, hosting and websites. It opens avenues for SMEs and startups to create a professional web presence.

Punjabi said, “India is a very attractive market, where the potential of web services and products is just exploding. We would be uniquely positioned to organize the market and set benchmarks for website creation and management with our product” 

“We are also looking forward to opening the platform to developers and designers to facilitate a web app-store via,” he said.

Langoor delivers a functional website in five steps - sign up, pick a website name, drag & drop, add content and publish.

The website builder offers drag & drop interface, in-line editing, instant display of output, internal features & themes store, one-click install features and themes and a fellow users team to review the themes and features and provide online support.
