CANNES: The billion-dollar Cannes film market saw a boost in business as emerging nations in Asia and Latin America joined this year's 10-day frenzy of deals.

The Cannes Market, held on the sidelines of the world's paramount filmfest, saw a four percent increase in participants, with 10,491 film types registering, an official statement said Sunday.
