Cinefoundation winners announced

CANNES: The winners of the Cinefoundation have been announced. An Argentinian film student got the first prize for his effort Ahora Todos Parecen Contentos, while a Chinese Beijing Film Academy student Chen Tao got the second priz for Ru Dao. The third prize was shared between The Korean Academy of Film Arts student Hong Sung-Hoon for his effort A Reunion, and Serbian Fajultet Dramskih Umetnosti graduate Pavle Vuckovic for his film Minus.

The Cinefoundation was created by Giles Jacob and Piere Viot to recognise emerging talent amongst students of film. This year 16 entries from 1,200 made it to the official selection and were judged by president Jia Zhang Ke, Deborah Nadoolman Landis, Domink Moll, and JMG Le Clezio.
