CANNES: The Cannes film festival was the setting for an announcement relating to an Indian film. Several international locations have been used by Indian directors to film their movies, right from Switzerland to Hong Kong to Australia to London. But it is a first that director Anubhav Sinha is attempting by using Italy as the location for his new film Chase.

Sinha's earlier directorial effort Cash shot in South Africa is set for a release in July this year.

Sinha's ASP White is co producing the $5 million film with Adlabs with Aditya Bhattacharya as its executive producer. The filming is scheduled to commence from August-September. The film will use Italian technical staff, apart from the villain and the female lead being Italian. Chase is being supported by Italy's Cinecitta, FILAs and Assessore Regionale and the film will be shot around Rome primarily.
