Gautaman with festival director Giles Jacob

CANNES: Veteran journalist Gautaman Bhaskaran, who has been visiting the Cannes Film Festival for the past 20 years or so, was honoured for his consistency and reporting skills on this evening.

He was handed over a medal with the red carpet of the Palais des Festivals by director Giles Jacob.

Bhaskaran is amongst a creme de la creme list of 30 journalists who were honoured by the festival directorate this year.

More than 4,000 journalists, including print, radio, TV and the internet cover the Cannes Film festival every year.
