IN WHITE: Bipasha Basu wows the audience |
CANNES
:The duo make a charming couple and the ease they work with
each other made that more than apparent. Bipasha, who attended
the UTV conference suffering from jet lag having flown in a
couple of hours earlier, looked lovely in a sari that did total
justice to her tall lithe frame and exquisitely chiseled features
and graceful body. Looking dark and dusky, the lady spoke about
her new film with John Abraham Goal, directed by Vivek Agnihotri
and said she hoped the audience would take to it.

"John
Abraham came in wearing a monkey cap and looking casual in
his jeans and a jacket (obviously designer). He spoke at length
about Goal and how he enjoyed filming in England and the role
he plays in it. "I am one of those actors who wants to
play unconventional roles. When I came into the industry they
all thought I was about pizzas and little did they know me.
I am a different actor who wants to experiment," he said.
"Not the usual song and dance routine kinds. And the
role of a footballer in Goal which is about a Southall club
which goes on to take part in the Englsh league made it interesting.
A
lot of foreign distributors and journalists queued up to be
photgraphed with John and Bipasha. A photoshoot also saw a
gaggle of photographers tripping over each other to take picctures
of the duo.
