IBH gets into action mode on ACK animation plans

The animation bug has finally bitten IBH. The publishing and distribution major is in talks with a number of Indian and international studios to reproduce its vast treasure of comics (Amar Chitra Katha & Tinkle) in animated form.

To begin with, popular titles across a range of topics from the Amar Chitra Katha will be adapted for an animated TV series.

Speaking to Animation 'xpress, IBH Executive Director & Publisher Padmini Mirchandani informed,"We have been toying with the idea for a while now. In India we have spoken to studios like Graphiti Multimedia and ATI technologies. We are also considering studios based in Phillipines and Malaysia."

"IBH is in talks with leading kids broadcasters in the country and we also plan a DVD release. We will be ready with the content by Diwali next year." she added.
