Academy of Digital Arts & Communication (ADAC), a subsidiary
of US based Killick Nixon Ltd had a few days earlier announced a
poster competition on old bollywood films. The purpose of the competition
is to encourage the diminshing community of poster painters
to switch over to digital painting.
The last date for entries is 15 June 2004.
The company which is in the business of animation, high end graphics
and post production training, has offered courseware and scholarships
for the competition.
The first prize carries a cash award of Rs 5,001 and scholarship
for training in digital arts worth Rs 50,000; 2nd prize: Rs 3,000
in cash and courseware worth Rs 25,000, while the third prize Rs
2,000 in cash and Rs 10,000 worth advanced training.
Says ADAC founder and MD Vibha Khandelwal, "Students at ADAC
have the advantage of internship and hands on training at our studios
which have the latest software and infrastructure comprising of
3D Workstations, SGIs and Media 100's. "
She further adds, " Our Studio currently houses B.A.G Films
with projects like Kum Kum, Koi Jane Na, Shhh Koi Hai and we have
placed students successfully in Data Quest, Jadoo Works, Prime Focus,
Asia Net T.V, Crest Communications and UTV".
