MUMBAI: As many as three studios namely Paramount Pictures, HBO and Showtime are
in plans to make films on the Osama mission. The curiosity comes in the wake of
the killing of Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden by US special forces in a top secret
mission in Pakistan.
Meanwhile,
Kathryn Bigelow, who won an Oscar for her film The Hurt Locker is already
working on a project titled Kill Bin Laden. The film, written by
scriptwriter Mark Boal, is about a fictitious failed assassination attempt on
the Al Qaeda founder. A
source close to Annapurna Pictures, the studio behind Kill Bin Laden
said, "We're turning the script around as fast as possible and are well placed
to be the first on screen with our account of a truly historic mission." |
