S K Palekar, 50, has 25 years of experience with borh MNCs and Indian firms marketing branded consumer products.

He is a god medal winner in M.Sc. (Physics) from the Bombay University and is a first rank holder in MMS in Marketing from the Jamna1a1 Bajaj Institute Bombay in 1974 before he began his career in Richardson Hindustan Ltd -now P & G. After P & G.

he worked for Cadbury , MRF, Balsara and Onida in various positions related to marketing, sales and service. He is currently with Eureka Forbes -a Rs.370 crore Tata group company -as Senior Vice President -Marketing and Chief Operating Officer of one of the profit centres.

His other achievements are:

5. Writes a monthly column for the Strategist.

His current interests lie in the areas of the human side of marketing organisation, awareness training for organisation development, sales and distribution and retailing, and strategies for medium sized businesses.
