NEW DELHI: Five early films of master suspense filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock have been introduced in a collector’s edition boxset volume-1 as ‘The one world collection’.

The collection will consist of five of Hitchcock’s early works including The Manxman, Blackmail, Murder, The Skin Game, and Rich and Strange.

According to Palador founder and MD Gautam Shiknis, “We have bridged the gap between India and the rest of the world by bringing quality cinema to the audiences in India and hence, created ‘One world’. This is reflected in the new brand identity we have given to our Home Video Division - ‘The one world collection’. Henceforth, all new home video releases will be under the same brand name.”

The collection will be available for sale on www.mypalador.com, retail website www.indiaplaza.in, at all Crossword stores apart from other retail bookstores like Oxford, Musicworld, Odyssey, Reliance Timeout across India and standalone stores such as Rhythm House, subsequently from 21 February 2009.

Additionally the collection will contain Indie Corner DVD, which has a short film made by MBA turned filmmaker Atul Taishete called Rewind.

“We have started the year on a good note and have ambitious plans to strengthen various business verticals - production, programming and publishing. With many new projects in the pipeline, we will make more announcements subsequently for this fiscal. While on the home video front, some of the imminent releases would be movies like Stealing Beauty by Bernardo Bertolucci, and Bob the Gambler by Jean Pierre Melville,” adds Palador co-founder and joint MD Mohan Polamar.

Indie Corner is Palador’s new model which gives an opportunity to short filmmakers to showcase their films.
