MUMBAI: Percept Picture Company (PPC) has added Mirah Entertainment to its list
of financiers ahead of the release of 8X10 Tasveer.
Mirah
Entertainment will get limited joint exploitation of commercial rights for an
undisclosed investment. PPC is also in talks with another partner for joint exploitation
of television rights of the movie. Says
PPC CEO Navin Shah, We are finalising another partner for joint exploitation
of television rights of the movie soon. We are confident that our relationship
with Sahara One and Mirah Entertainment would grow from strength to strength."
Indiantelevision.com was the first to report that Sahara One Motion Pictures had
put in Rs 100 million to get a 20 per cent revenue share. Says
Mirah Entertainment MD Gaurav Goenka, 8x10 Tasveer has the potential
to open up a completely new genre of psychological thrillers in Hindi cinema.

Tasveer is due for release this Friday, 3 April. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor
and starring Akshay Kumar, Ayesha Takia, Sharmila Tagore, Javed Jaffery, Girish
Karnad, Anant Mahadevan, Benjamin Gilani and Rushaad Rana, the film revolves around
the story of a young man with a unique supernatural gift of looking into the past
of dead people. PPC
claims that it is spending more than Rs 90 million on just marketing and film
publicity and it will release with more than 1500 prints in screens across India
