MUMBAI: Slumdog Crorepati, the Hindi
version of the Oscar-winning rags to riches
story, is set to inaugurate the 14th Jamshedpur
International Film festival on 14 March.
Hosted
by local film society Celluloid Chapter
and Tata steel, the week-long festival will
consist of two categories for showcasing
Indian and international films.
The
Indian Panorama comprises five movies that
include Bengali film Antoheen directed by
Annirudha Roychowdhury, Rituporno Ghoshs
The Last Lear, Anjan Dutta directed Cholo
Let's Go (Bengali), Shashant Shahs
Dasvidaniya and Nishikant Kamats Mumbai
Meri Jaan.
The
international film section will open with
Czech film Revel Love.
A
total of 64 national films and 54 foreign
films will be screened during the festival.
The festival will also see the screening
of five documentaries.
