Marley & Me garners $37 million to top US weekend box office

MUMBAI: The Jennifer Aniston-starrer Marley & Me has garnered approximately $37 million over the weekend to emerge as the top film at the US box office during Christmas. The film was released across 3,480 theatres.

Directed by David Frankel, the film revolves around the story of a mischievous dog who grows up alongside the young couple who owns him.

While Bedtime Stories, starring Adam Sandler, finished second at the box office making $28.1 million, Brad Pitt’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button made $27 million to finish at the third spot.

Also, Tom Cruise's Valkyrie ranked fourth earning $21.5 million, while Jim Carrey’s Yes Man finished fifth with $16.5 million.
