NDTV Lumière partners Goa’s Loungefly for world cinema Fridays

MUMBAI: NDTV Lumière, the world cinema channel, and Goa’s Loungefly join hands to present world cinema followed by discussions for the movie aficionados in Goa. Seating and entry is kept free.

Beginning 26 December, ‘World Cinema Friday’ will hold movie screenings twice a month on every alternate Fridays at 8.30 pm. The company claims in a statement that it will also present critics and film lovers from different backgrounds a platform to share their views, opinions and thoughts on intriguing subjects.

NDTV Imagine SVP - New Ventures Dhruvank Vaidya said, “With its distinct, vibrant and lively feel, Goa is an ideal place for us to have our film club property. We are confident that Goa would lend its charm towards World Cinema Fridays and make it a completely different movie watching experience all together.”

Loungefly owner Amardipta Biswas added, “Goa as a market, has always been home to multi-cultural interests and activities, by virtue of the presence of an extremely creative and artistically inclined society. This endeavour would go a long way in quenching their thirst of being a part of global contemporary cinema that is representative of the 'One World - Many Cultures' syndrome, contemporary lifestyle represents today.”

The World Cinema Fridays will commemorate its launch with the screening of the off beat romantic thriller, Read My Lips (2001).
