MUMBAI: Phyllida Lloyds Mamma Mia!,
starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan,
has garnered £69.07 million since
its release 23 weeks ago to become the highest
grossing movie ever to be released in the
UK.
The
film has overtaken Titanic that held the
UK box office record for 10 years. Titanic
has made £69.03 million till date.
Recently,
Mamma Mia!, the Abba-inspired romantic comedy that hit the UK theatres
on 29 August, won two Golden Globe nominations for best picture (musical or comedy)
and best actress. |
