YRF's Rab Ne… grosses Rs 600 million in opening weekend

MUMBAI: Yash Raj Films' latest release Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (RNBJ) has claimed to garner approximately Rs 600 million worldwide in its opening weekend. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer was released on 12 December.

The company says that in Middle East, RNBJ has set a new record as the highest opening film of all-time. The previous highest was Dhoom:2, which grossed approximately $1.86 million across its entire run. RNDJ has grossed approximately $1 million on its opening weekend alone.

RNBJ was released in over 1200 screens, including analog prints and digital cinemas. It saw a simultaneous release in USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, all over the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania, Nigeria, Fiji Islands as well as all major European countries including Holland, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland.
