NEW DELHI: Taare Zameen Par, A Wednesday,
Summer of 2007, Jodha Akbar and the
award-winning Kannada film Gulabi Talkies
will be part of the 26 features to be screened
in the Indian Panaroma, which is part of
the Delhi International Arts Festival (DIAF).
The
Indian Panorama, which opened with the screening
of Little Zizou (Gujarati- Hindi-English)
by Sooni Taraporevala, has been organised
by the DIAF in association with the Directorate
of Film Festivals.
The
Malayalam films that are to be screened
during the featival are Priyanandan Pulijanmam,
T V Chandran's Vilapangalkkappuram, Jayaraj's
Gulmohar, M G Sasi's Atayalangal,
Adoor Gopalakrishnan's Oru Pennum
Randaanum, Manu S Kumaran's Aakashagopuram
and Mohanan's Katha Parayumpol.
Apart
from Mahasatta by Ramesh Laxman More,
the other Marathi films are Dohaa by
Pushkaraj Paranjape and Valu by Umesh
Vinayak Kulkarni.
The
other films that will be showcased at the
festival are Yarwng by Joseph Pulinthanath,
Bengali Chaturanga by Suman Mukhopadhyay,
the Assamese Mon Jai by M.Maniram
and Mee Sreyobhilashi by V Eshwar
Reddy.
The
festival will continue with the Twilight
Competitive Film Festival of student and
professional films ending on 15 December,
organised by the Sri Aurobindo Centre for
Arts and Communication.
Twilight
comprises two separate competition sections
for student filmmakers with 36 films and
professional filmmakers with 20 films. These
films will be short features of up to 20
minutes duration or non-features of up to
30 minutes duration.
The
jury for the professional filmmakers is
headed by Mani Kaul, Madan Gopal Singh and
Gargi Sen while the students' jury has Namrata
Joshi, Reena Mohan and Amit Sengupta.

awards for Twilight will be given as follows:
