Cinemax hosts 3rd annual Marathi film festival

MUMBAI: The multiplex chain operator Cinemax is set to host the third annual Marathi film festival scheduled to commence from today.

The weeklong film festival will see super hit Marathi films like Tingya, Valu, De Dhakka, Saade Maade Teen, Amhi Satpute, Sanai Chaughade and Doghat Teesra Baki Sagla visra.

 
   

The films will be screened in Cinemax Versova, Cinemax Wonder mall, Thane, Cinemax Sion, Cinemax Nasik and Cinemax Nagpur at 8 pm everyday.

The closing ceremony will be held at Cinemax Sion on 1 October at 7 pm where Marathi filmmakers will be felicitated.

 
   
Cinemax India Ltd SVP Devang Sampat said, "This is the third consecutive year that we are holding Marathi Film Festival and we are honoured to be the only multiplex in Maharashtra doing so. We feel that Marathi film industry will finally begin to get its due recognition as multiplex players such as Cinemax make the best of Marathi films available for our audiences. This will surely offer a boost to the industry encouraging Marathi filmmakers to make movies with new concepts and issues.”
