MUMBAI: Adlabs Films Limited, a member of the
Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has announced
audited results for the year ended 31 March
2008. The results are for nine months.
The
company posted consolidated revenues of Rs 3.65
billion and a net profit of Rs 470 million.
Adlab's EBIDTA stood at Rs 770 million.
The
cinema division has posted a 86 per cent growth
at Rs 1.27 billion on an annualized basis. Adlabs
opened up 166 screens last year.
The
content production and distribution business
at Rs 1.43 billion this year saw a total income
growth of 50 per cent on an annualized basis.
The
film processing and allied services revenue
at Rs 670 million has recorded a 16 per cent
increase over the previous year on annualized
basis.
Adlabs
Films chief financial officer Venkat Devarajan
said, We see a strong year ahead buoyed
by several big releases in the forthcoming quarters
such as Sarkar Raj, Love Story 2050, Singh is
Kinng and more. Our exhibition division is in
a major growth phase with the setting up of
chains in the US and Malaysia, as well as the
continuation of our expansion within India.
The state-of-the-art digital post production
facility will provide a significant value addition
to our processing lab services.
