MUMBAI:
Rajan Khosas award-winning Indian film Gattu has
been invited to screen at the 2nd Beijing International
Film festival that is being held from 23 to 28 April.
Produced
by the Children's Film Society of India, Gattu is the
lone Indian film featured in the retrospective section
of the festival that will screen around 260 movies.
It features the obsession of a boy from small town to
fly kites.
China
is slowly opening its doors to foreign films. Till now
no foreign films were allowed in the country, with only
a selected few permitted for screening annually.
The
Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots, which was translated
into Chinese, did a good business and was a hit all
over China.
The
country is slowly opening up to India on the cultural
front.
