MUMBAI: Delhi-based cinema exhibition major PVR has announced the opening of a new multiplex at Vinayak City Centre, Allahabad.

The four-screen property has a total seating capacity of 923 seats and is fitted with latest technological upgraded digital projectors. The multiplex is eligible for E-Tax exemption.

With the opening of this multiplex at Allahabad, PVR’s total screen count has gone up to 116 screens in 28 locations across 16 cities.

“The opening of this multiplex is a part of PVR's organic growth strategy of pan India expansion and increasing its presence in tier II cities. Audiences in Allahabad will enjoy to a new cinematic wave that PVR theatres will offer,” the company said in a release.

PVR is also planning to open new multiplexes soon in Chennai, Ahmedabad and Ghaziabad.
